Eye skin care  is one of the most important steps of any regimen, but it’s also one of the most skipped steps! Many people assume that eye care is unnecessary, or that they can simply use their normal face cream on their eye area as well.

The fact is, the eye area is one of the most delicate areas of skin on the entire body. This means that the eye area is usually one of the first places to show visible signs of aging and damage. The delicate tissue also means that it’s important to use the right skin care designed especially for the eye area in order to avoid irritation or damage.

Although ATOPALM skin care is already formulated with sensitive and compromised skin in mind, our eye care takes those ideas a step further. Our face creams won’t irritate your eye area, but you’ll be missing out on the targeted care our eye formulas provide.

ATOPALM offers two eye skin care products, each providing unique benefits so users can choose which product meets their needs best.

Our classic MLE line includes Moisturizing Eye Repair Serum, a lightweight yet rich serum-cream created to target visible signs of aging. MLE repairs the skin’s lipid layer while K6PC5 (an activator) works to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Vitamin E and licorice root further work to brighten, condition, and protect skin. Clinical studies show a reduction in fine lines, crow’s feet, and wrinkles throughout the eye area.

ATOPALM Real Barrier also offers its own eye care product. Eye Contour Cream contains a peptide to increase skin elasticity, which is a trademark of youthful skin. Hyaluronic acid combines with MLE to deeply hydrate and repair skin, all while the Real Barrier 3-Calming Complex soothes and calms irritated skin.

Once you’ve chosen the right eye skin care product for you, it’s time to apply it with the gentleness and care that K-Beauty is known for. Follow your product’s packaging directions to dispense the proper amount of product onto one of your ring fingers. Dab your other ring finger into the cream so that it’s distributed evenly between your fingers.

Now lightly tap — do not rub — the product onto the eye area, following the natural curvature of your under-eye area. Begin under the inner corners of the eyes, and gently tap in an outward motion, circling all the way up to the end of your eyebrow. After the product has been tapped in, let it set for a minute to properly absorb.

By applying your eye care properly, you’ll avoid the rubbing and tugging that can deeply damage the delicate skin, leading to the visible signs of aging you’re trying to avoid!

Korean Skin Care Regimen Step-by-Step Guide, Step Five: Masks

This is step five of our Korean skin care regimen series! If you missed the first four, you can read step one here, read step two hereread step three here, and read step four here.

You may wonder how step five of ATOPALM’s Korean skin care regimen could be masks since ATOPALM.com doesn’t feature any face masks! While K-beauty flew to popularity with the use of sheet masks, that’s one arena that ATOPALM USA hasn’t joined.

Why? Because our skin care creams make such excellent face masks on their own! Since we know that ATOPALM creams can double as face masks, we believe that our customers should get to stick to the formulas they love, and not worry about adding more products to their skin care routine.

One thing to note is that, while K-beauty masks are listed as step five of the ATOPALM Korean skin care regimen, this does not mean that you should use a face mask cream as your fourth step every day. Rather, incorporate this deep moisturizing process once or twice a week, preferably in the evening.

If you’re looking forward to using your favorite ATOPALM cream as a face mask, but you’re not sure where to begin, read on to learn how to apply ATOPALM cream as a face mask.

Step one: choose a cream. Any ATOPALM cream can technically be used as a face mask, but we do have a couple of recommendations based on the various ingredients and formula concentrations we offer on ATOPALM.com.

For example, Intensive Moisturizing Cream is our best-selling moisturizer and can be used as a face mask, but you may see more noticeable results when using one of our Real Barrier formulas, due to the presence of the Real Barrier three-calming complex. Likewise, extremely dry or sensitive skin types may prefer to use an ATOPALM 130+ formula as their face mask to give their skin an intense dose of moisture and comfort.

Step two: begin your skin care process, with step one, step two, step three, and step four of the ATOPALM Korean skin care regimen. When you get to step five (normally Moisturize), move instead into the face mask application process. Note that step four is Treatment, but does include some of our face creams that can be used for treatment purposes. If your mask cream of choice is one of these treatment products, you can apply your mask as step four of the regimen.

Step three: apply as a mask. Instead of gently patting your cream into your skin, apply a thicker-than-normal layer and allow it to sink in gradually. This allows the cream to begin moisturizing immediately, but also to “drink in” the formula naturally, resulting in a more natural moisturization process. It also gives the formula’s active ingredients time to begin working on the surface of the skin before penetrating deeper to repair and replenish from the inside out.

You will be amazed at the difference this application process makes, even if you’re using your normal daily moisturizer as a mask! If you try this special face mask application, please leave us a comment below to let us know your thoughts!

Korean Skin Care Regimen Step-by-Step Guide, Step Four: Treatment

This is step four of our Korean skin care regimen series! If you missed the first three, you can read step one here, read step two here, and read step three here.

This step focuses on targeted skin care treatments. Consider step four your way to diversify your skin care regimen and pay attention to your biggest skin care concerns.

One thing to remember is that the K-Beauty regimen puts a lot of emphasis on truly caring for the skin, not just with the right products, but with how you touch and manipulate your skin. All of your products should be gently applied, with more of a tapping or massaging motion than a rough rubbing motion, and treatments are no exception.

Since the treatment step is your chance to focus on your skin care concern, here are a few ATOPALM products that can be used depending on what you’re concerns are. You can use as many or few as you like, as all ATOPALM products are designed to work together without stressing the skin.

Concern: Aging Skin
Product: Moisturizing Skin Revitalizing Complex

Formulated with peptides, vitamin C, and an anti-aging skin care activator known as K6PC5, Moisturizing Skin Revitalizing Complex is all you need to fight fine lines, wrinkles, dullness, and other visible signs of aging. It of course also features MLE to further hydrate skin, which adds an extra boost of anti-aging action as it allows skin to maintain a youthful plumpness and suppleness.

Concern: Extreme Dryness and Sensitivity
Product: ATOPALM 130+ Concentrated Intensive Facial Moisturizer with Panthenol

While all ATOPALM products are created with moisture and the skin’s lipid barrier in mind, ATOPALM 130+ is specially formulated for extremely dry, sensitive, and compromised skin types. Formulated with 30% more active ingredients, ATOPALM 130+ features our richest, most replenishing products. Concentrated Intensive Facial Moisturizer with Panthenol takes this a step further with its star ingredient —you guessed it — panthenol, which is well-known for its deep soothing abilities.

Concern: Externally Irritated and Acne-Prone Skin
Product: Real Barrier Cicarelief Cream

One of our newest products is also one of our best treatments for acne blemishes, as well as skin that’s been irritated by external aggressors, like poison oak and ivy. These traits also make it an excellent treatment for use after minor dermatological procedures. Alongside MLE, Cicarelief Cream uses calamine to deeply soothe irritation including redness, itching, and stinging. But the treatment doesn’t stop there! Cicarelief also features panthenol and madecassoside to continue comforting skin long after its been applied.

Concern: Getting the Most from Your Skin Care
Product: Real Barrier Intro Serum

If you don’t have a specific skin care concern, Intro Serum is for you! Think of it as a skin care booster — it actually maximizes the benefits you get from every other ATOPALM product. It can be used alongside any of the previously mentioned treatments, or as your one and only Korean skin care regimen treatment.

Korean Skin Care Regimen Step-by-Step Guide, Step Two: Cleansing

This is step two of our Korean skin care regimen series! If you missed step one, don’t worry! Click here to read about ATOPALM Cleansing Water

Step two of the ATOPALM K-Beauty skin care regimen is cleansing. If you’re wondering why it’s not step one, then you haven’t read about Cleansing Water yet!

When you’re ready to cleanse, ATOPALM has two cleansing options for you: Moisturizing Facial Cleansing Foam from the classic MLE line, and Real Barrier Cleansing Foam. They both offer a rich, velvety cleansing texture with MLE, but each gives you a unique spin with specialized ingredients.

Moisturizing Facial Cleansing Foam relies on purity and simplicity. Featuring only the gentlest cleansing ingredients, Moisturizing Facial Cleansing Foam removes impurities, debris, and makeup with a lush foaming texture that soothes the instant it touches your skin.

Moisturizing Facial Cleansing Foam is a favorite of those with ultra sensitive skin who want their cleanser to focus on one job and one job only: to cleanse. After use, the skin feels soft, and already embraced by a light layer of moisture.

Real Barrier Cleansing Foam offers calming and soothing actions in a different way. Instead of relying on a simple, pure formula to keep from irritating skin, Real Barrier Cleansing Foam utilizes botanical ingredients to calm and comfort dry, sensitive skin.

An incredible formula of panthenol, allantoin, madecassoside, sunflower seed oil, broccoli sprout extract, wheat sprout extract, bergamot fruit oil, and of course MLE works to beautifully wrap the skin in nourishment and comfort. A natural oil-based fragrance delights the senses, and the product’s rich texture wraps skin in foundation of moisture.

In K-Beauty, the way you cleanse is almost as important as the product you choose. Korean beauty regimens are based on respecting and truly loving your skin, and this extends to the force you imply when applying your Korean skin care products.

When cleansing, apply a pump of your foam to your hand and begin to very gently rub it over your face in circular motions. View it more as a light facial massage, rather than a scrubbing marathon. Rinse under comfortably cool water, and pat — never rub — dry.
