Eye skin care  is one of the most important steps of any regimen, but it’s also one of the most skipped steps! Many people assume that eye care is unnecessary, or that they can simply use their normal face cream on their eye area as well.

The fact is, the eye area is one of the most delicate areas of skin on the entire body. This means that the eye area is usually one of the first places to show visible signs of aging and damage. The delicate tissue also means that it’s important to use the right skin care designed especially for the eye area in order to avoid irritation or damage.

Although ATOPALM skin care is already formulated with sensitive and compromised skin in mind, our eye care takes those ideas a step further. Our face creams won’t irritate your eye area, but you’ll be missing out on the targeted care our eye formulas provide.

ATOPALM offers two eye skin care products, each providing unique benefits so users can choose which product meets their needs best.

Our classic MLE line includes Moisturizing Eye Repair Serum, a lightweight yet rich serum-cream created to target visible signs of aging. MLE repairs the skin’s lipid layer while K6PC5 (an activator) works to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Vitamin E and licorice root further work to brighten, condition, and protect skin. Clinical studies show a reduction in fine lines, crow’s feet, and wrinkles throughout the eye area.

ATOPALM Real Barrier also offers its own eye care product. Eye Contour Cream contains a peptide to increase skin elasticity, which is a trademark of youthful skin. Hyaluronic acid combines with MLE to deeply hydrate and repair skin, all while the Real Barrier 3-Calming Complex soothes and calms irritated skin.

Once you’ve chosen the right eye skin care product for you, it’s time to apply it with the gentleness and care that K-Beauty is known for. Follow your product’s packaging directions to dispense the proper amount of product onto one of your ring fingers. Dab your other ring finger into the cream so that it’s distributed evenly between your fingers.

Now lightly tap — do not rub — the product onto the eye area, following the natural curvature of your under-eye area. Begin under the inner corners of the eyes, and gently tap in an outward motion, circling all the way up to the end of your eyebrow. After the product has been tapped in, let it set for a minute to properly absorb.

By applying your eye care properly, you’ll avoid the rubbing and tugging that can deeply damage the delicate skin, leading to the visible signs of aging you’re trying to avoid!

A Simple Guide to Eye Area Skin Care

The eye area is often one of the first areas on the face or body to show visible signs of aging. Not only that, but it’s also one of the most delicate areas of skin! Caring for your eye area with dedication eye area skin care products is a must if you want to keep your face looking and feeling its best.

The good news is that eye area skin care doesn’t have to be difficult or expensive. Take a look at these true or false questions to learn all about how simple eye area care can be.

True or false: You can use any skin care products on the eye area
FALSE! It may be tempting to simply slather your daily skin care moisturizer over your eye area, but chances are you’re doing more harm than good. Because the eye area is so delicate, facial moisturizers can actually be too harsh for the thin skin around the eyes. It can lead to discomfort, irritation, and signs of damage – especially if you have dry skin or a sensitive skin condition.

Instead, you should apply your face cream to all areas of the face and neck, saving the lip and eye areas. If you’re unsure how close you should get to the eyes, imagine that you’re wearing slices of cucumber over your eyes like you’re at a spa, and leave those areas for your eye skin care product.

True or false: You only need to use anti-aging skin care after you start getting wrinkles.
FALSE! Anti-aging skin care should be preventative as often as possible. If you keep your skin from showing signs of aging, then you won’t even need to search out effective antiaging skin care products to treat fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of aging.

Everyone has a different opinion on when to start using anti-aging skin care, but most people think it’s great to start in your 20s while the skin is still smooth and supple. As I previously mentioned, the eye area is often one of the first areas to show signs of aging, so beginning with an anti-aging eye treatment is a great first step!

If you’re looking for an anti-aging eye serum, our Atopalm Moisturizing Eye Repair Serum is the way to go. It’s safe for all skin types, including dry and sensitive skin, and it can be used before or after signs of aging are visible.

Moisturizing Eye Repair Serum features a slew of hydrating and anti-aging ingredients, including skin care antioxidants, brighteners, peptides, and of course our advanced MLE moisturizers. If you’re unsure about how a skin care serum like this can help you, check out the Moisturizing Eye Repair Serum page to see the amazing results for yourself!

True or false: Anti-aging eye skin care has to be expensive to be top-quality.
FALSE! For example, our Eye Repair Serum is only $35 – a fraction of the cost of other eye serums. However, it is made with top-notch ingredients that have been proven to provide moisturizing and anti-aging benefits. You do not have to pay a lot to get great skin care as long as you search out skin care from companies you trust who use quality ingredients.

As you can see, it is beneficial and simple for everyone to use great anti-aging eye skin care!

Fine lines, laugh lines, wrinkles, crow’s feet…No matter what you call them, chances are they’re not welcome. Many people see visible signs of aging in the eye area before anywhere else on their body. Our Moisturizing Eye Repair Serum is specially formulated for use on the delicate eye area. Made without the use of parabens, our anti-aging eye serum utilizes MLE technology to mimic the skin’s natural lipids, allowing the skin to regain a youthful tone and texture by way for normalizing hydration levels.

In addition to MLE, Moisturizing Eye Repair Serum features skin care antioxidants, peptides, brighteners and more to truly reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The skin’s texture becomes smoother and more youthful, while its tone regains evenness and brightness.

Last but not least, our antiaging eye cream boasts a formula that is safe and gentle enough for use on even the most sensitive skin types. Featured Product: Moisturizing Eye Repair Serum

Moisturizing Eye Repair SerumThe eye area: the most delicate area of skin on the body, but also the most neglected area of skin on the body! If you’ve struggled with your eye area in the past, or if you’re looking for ways to protect your eye area for the future, this post is for you.

The skin surrounding the eye is similar to tissue paper; easily damaged and wrinkled. It is often one of the first areas (along with the hands) to show visible signs of aging like fine lines, wrinkles, puffiness, bags, and dark under eye circles. The good news is that all of these signs of aging can be both prevented and treated with our featured product, Moisturizing Eye Repair Serum!

Moisturizing Eye Repair Serum is your anti-aging eye serum and eye moisturizer in one! The paraben-free formula offers everything your eye area needs to stay nourished, moisturized, youthful, and vibrant. Here’s a look at how just one product can accomplish all these tasks…

  • Atopalm’s patented MLE technology is the first responder to many of your eye area needs. It mimics the skin’s natural lipid layer to seal in hydration for lasting moisture. This helps the eye area to become and remain healthfully plump, thereby diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It simultaneously improves radiance and suppleness, both of which are qualities of youthful skin.
  • Skin care antioxidants heal and prevent free radical damage. Free radicals are caused by external aggressors and pollutants like cigarette smoke, sun damage, and harsh weather conditions. These free radicals are one of the main causes of visible signs of aging and damage, but they can be prevented and healed with antioxidants!
  • Brighteners and skin care peptides provide tough anti-aging actions beyond what MLE and antioxidants can do on their own. Peptides and brighteners work together to specifically target visible signs of aging like wrinkles and dark under eye circles, and can effectively restore a youthful appearance to the eye area.

This calculated blend of skin care ingredients combine to provide you with the best anti-aging skin care possible, while still maintaining Atopalm’s gentleness standards. This means that Moisturizing Eye Repair Serum can still be used by dry skin, sensitive skin, and those with conditions that make it difficult to use mainstream anti-aging skin care products. No matter what your skin type, a youthful and moisturized eye area can be yours with Moisturizing Eye Repair Serum!

New Year, New You: Eye Care

Today’s post is the third installment in our New Year, New You series. If you missed out on the first two posts, be sure to give them a look! New Year, New You: Skin Cleansing and New Year, New You: Moisturizing will teach you the importance of these two skin care basics.

Eye skin care is often the most overlooked area of skin care. Many people feel that their normal facial moisturizer is enough, or they simply don’t want to spend more money on eye cream. The problem is that the eye area is one of the most delicate areas of skin on the entire body, and is therefore prone to damage and premature signs of aging.

The skin around the eyes is like tissue paper; thin, easily wrinkled and damaged, and in need of a gentle touch. When left alone, the eye area is extremely prone to environmental damage and sun damage which leaves it dry, discolored, and headed toward premature skin aging. Similarly, if the eye area only experiences face cream or other improper skin care, it’s at risk of becoming damaged by harsh ingredients and formulas.

The only way to care for the eye area is to use a cream formulated especially for the eye area. Makes sense, right? Eye creams contain targeted ingredients designed to moisturize, protect, and treat eye area concerns — no other skin care formula does this! Just like you should never use shampoo to wash your face or eye makeup remover as deodorant, you should never use face cream instead of an eye cream.

When searching for an eye cream or eye serum, it all comes down to personal concerns and preferences. For those with dry skin or sensitive skin, a richly moisturizing eye cream with anti-aging ingredients is in need. This sort of formulation will restore proper hydration to the eye area while preventing damage and premature skin aging.

Now, I keep referring to this “premature skin aging” and you may be wondering what that means, exactly. Premature skin aging refers to false visible signs of aging caused by environmental and sun damage. Signs include fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation (dark under eye circles) and puffiness or bags. While it’s true that no one can age without seeing some of these signs, an eye cream or eye serum can help to prevent or diminish them, causing one to look youthful far past when they would normally show signs of aging.

To see an example of how Atopalm’s Moisturizing Eye Repair Serum can transform your eye area, check out these amazing before and after photos, taken after only six months of using the formula:

Clearly, the right eye skin care product and formulation can make all the difference when it comes to smoothing, brightening, moisturizing, and protecting the eye area. How to Care for Your Eye Area

The eye area is one of the most delicate areas on the body. It is also one of the most abused areas on the body! Between eye makeup, external aggressors, and physical damage done by rubbing and tugging, the eye area puts up with a lot. Coupled with the frailness of the skin in the eye area, these things cause it to be one of the first features of the face to show visible signs of aging, such as fine lines and wrinkles.

But, there’s still hope! If you learn how to care for your eye area, you’ll find that this damage can be both prevented and treated. This means that even if you already have crow’s feet, you can smooth them! Dark circles can be lightened and brightened! Smooth, youthful skin can be maintained! You just need to learn how.

Be Gentle
Learning to be soft and gentle on the eye area is the first step toward keeping the skin healthy and beautiful. While cleansing, moisturizing, applying makeup, and removing makeup, always use light pressure and try to avoid tugging, pulling, and rubbing the skin.

When cleansing before or after makeup, don’t “press and pull” to clean the eye area. Instead, gently work your cleanser into the area using your fingertips in a soft circular motion. Eye cream should be applied with your ring fingers, as these are the weakest fingers on the hand. Makeup should be applied using clean, soft brushes and dabbing motions to avoid pulling the skin.

In short, just be gentle! The eye area suffers much of its damage simply because of harsh physical actions. And for goodness’ sakes, don’t rub your eyes when you’re tired!

Be Pure
Even if a woman is dedicated to washing her face every morning and evening, the eye area is often left covered in makeup residue. This is simply because it’s difficult to get makeup off of every surface and out of every crevice of the eye!

To properly purify the eye area, a fantastic cleanser is a must. Most dedicated eye makeup removers are overly harsh. Instead, try removing makeup with apricot kernel oil, which will dissolve the makeup while also conditioning the skin, eyebrows, and eyelashes.

After removing makeup with oil, use your normal cleanser to remove some of the oil residue and wash the rest of your face. Some of the oil will remain, but it will continue to benefit the skin while you sleep.

Lastly, consider going without eye makeup for a day or two per week. You’ll have the chance to let your natural beauty shine through, while also giving your eyes a break from the harsh chemicals and textures of makeup.

Be Proactive
Aside from basic gentleness and cleanliness, the eye area is in great need of moisture and treatment. Be weary of over-the-top eye area skin care products which may contain ingredients that could further damage your eye area skin. Instead, opt for a formula that’s free of parabens, superficial brighteners, and other potentially harmful ingredients.

Atopalm’s Moisturizing Eye Repair Serum is truly one of the best eye serums on the market. Gentle yet potent, it deeply moisturizes with Atopalm’s patented MLE Technology while peptides, genuine brighteners, and skin care antioxidants replenish, protect, and rejuvenate the skin. The result is an eye area that appears brighter, healthier, and more youthful.
